David Schoessler of Yakima, Washington visited the site of the former village of Walter, Russia in 1994 and snapped these pictures.
1. On the road from Frank to Walter, Russia. That is probably the church in the background.
2. Wilhelm Schoessler points to the street where several Schoessler families once lived. This was the main street. The house in the background is a government built commune house.
3. The main "Strasse" of houses build by the original settlers of Walter no longer exist.
